The short version
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are useful; it sets a small number of first-party cookies (names starting with _ga). We do not use cookies for advertising. We also use a small amount of localStorage (browser storage that stays on your device) to make some interactive tools and widgets work better; that data never leaves your browser.
What we use localStorage for
- Inline polls. Stores whether you've already voted on a poll so you can't vote twice. Key prefix:
orbit-poll-. - Decision tree widgets. Remember your answers so the page doesn't reset if you scroll away.
- Tool inputs. Some calculators (Cost Lab, ROI Calculator, etc.) optionally remember the last numbers you typed so you don't lose work on refresh.
- Email signup acknowledgements. A small flag noting you've already submitted, so we don't show the form again on the same page.
You can wipe all of this at any time by clearing your browser's site data for orbitdashboard.co.
What we do not use cookies for
- No third-party ad trackers (Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, etc.).
- No cross-site tracking.
- No fingerprinting.
Web analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic: pages visited, the page that referred you, device and browser type, and approximate location (city or country level). GA4 does not log or store individual IP addresses, and we have disabled the optional data sharing that would let Google use this data for its own sales outreach. We do not run ads, and this data is not used for ad targeting. To opt out, block cookies for orbitdashboard.co in your browser or install Google's Analytics opt-out add-on; the site works fine either way.
Browser controls
You can block or delete cookies and clear localStorage in your browser settings at any time. Doing so may stop our interactive widgets from remembering your inputs but will not break the site.
